KRTU GanG - April 2014 updates

Friday, 11 April 2014 is another day to remember for the KRTU GanG.  It was a record breaking achievement to see 3 members in the same flight all scoring below gross 40! The flight of Dennes, Lee, Lim and James tee off from the Sawit nine. On the first hole, the par5 hole #10; Dennes scored a difficult birdie coming in from about 12 ft  behind, then on the par3 second, Lee's excellent bunker shot from the right sand trap, landed the ball less than 2 ft for an easy par; coming to the par5 hole 16, Lim made an incredible par save after his drive found the water in the small pond next to the bunker on the left. At the end, Dennes had 2 birdies and 3 pars for a gross 38, Lee had 7 pars for another 38 while Lim ended with 6 pars for a 39! The amazing feat was shared by the fourth member, James who also played reasonably well despite a triple bogey on hole 12 where his tee shot went OB. 

Coincidently, the 78th Augusta Master also started off this morning. Maybe the gang was in the same mood? Or is it because Maca Leow had brought a bottle of 12-years old whiskey that morning that drives us to the extreme? Anyway, we celebrated the day with a Bah-Kut-teh feast at  Ah Seng's restaurant. Coupled with stewed pork and chicken feet,  half a bottle of the whiskey was gone in no time! What a great day!
