My other golf memories

At last, got a chance to play at RSGC on Friday, 16 Aug 2024.  Thanks very much for the invitation by Mr and Mrs Peter Vogt. A very pleasant surprise when I got a call from Dato Dina to keep the date opened. 

We played the old courses on both nine. Though relatively flat and most water hazards are really not in play, many of the greens are on raised ground guarded by sand bunkers. Eventually, I played 3 over par, maybe I was over excited to play on one of the oldest course in our country for the first time. 

Those hugh rain trees with branches as thick as my body are amazing sight to behold!!

Golf trip turned leisure day tour

 After playing 2 rounds at KKBGC, we taught we should share the experience with other gang members who has not been there before. So on Feb 1, 2024 we invited Khoo San and Woon to join us. Unfortunately, due to my forgetfulness I did not made the advance booking as such we were not able to play as the course was fully booked. Definitely a big disappointment due to my carelessness. After much discussions, we decided to drove up to Fraser Hill although we were not able to contact the club before we drove up. After driving through the long and bending road, we were equally disappointed as the course was closed due to its extremely bad conditions, obviously it has not been maintained for a long time. Anyway we enjoyed the fresh air and cool breeze, and lucky Khoo san also met a new friend!

At the end, we had also decided to have lunch at Raub since most of us have not been there many many years ago.

What a golfing trip that ends up to being a day tour!!
